This is next door to our campground in Spearfish. They are raising Rainbow Trout and Brown Trout. This is a really pretty area with lots of great fishing spots along the rushing creek that lines the side of our campsite. Too bad Cyrus nor I have fishing poles…buuut even if we did we agreed that neither of us could kill and filet a fish, haha. We also agreed that it sure would be nice to taste one though;)

I love fresh fish !! I think maybe I could do it. I like to catch fish. I am gping to get a license this summer! May have a hard time cleaning one though !

Fresh are indeed the best! Dad knows how to clean them right? Save some to cook for me when I’m home next, if you become a fisherwoman this summer.

My dad and I went to a trout farm in Missouri when I was young. We caught 4 nice ones and they were the best tasting fish I think I have ever ate.

Oh really?! That’s a nice memory Dad! They are such a healthy looking beautiful fresh water fish so I’m sure they would taste great! Maybe we will have some before we leave this area of abundant trout. I saw some at the bottom of this beautiful waterfall today.
