With my mind full of anticipation and wonder, I could hardly sleep on this particular Wednesday night. I laid awake knowing I have so many things to pack in my car to leave for this very impromptu adventure in the morning. I had to prepare for a wedding celebration 8 hours away and a week…
Paramount Pictures Mountain?
We stopped to snap some photos of little Wild Goose Island again but this time with a different point of view. We were told that this is the mountain from Paramount Pictures logo…so we all got our pictures taken with it.
Grinnell Lake in Many Glacier
This is our hike to Grinnell Glacier. At the top stopping point looking out to where the glacier is someone spotted THREE grizzly bears–a sow and her two cubs! They weren’t as close as we would have liked them to be, but we definitely enjoyed watching them play long enough to get nice sunburns on…
Many Glacier Lodge
Another beautiful mountain lodge, equals another day of pure bliss in Glacier National Park.
Off the grid! Polebridge, Montana- population 133
This is the village aka town hang-out. It was a pretty happening place here at 10 in the morning! People in line six deep this Saturday morning here to taste their homemade breads and pastries at this bakery/general store/cafe. Best bakery I’ve seen and tried in a long time–no lie! We enjoyed our homemade breakfast…

Then–with two lawn chairs over Cyrus’s back–we rode our bike’s a few miles down the road to this outdoor music firework celebration. For dinner, we…
Where are we on a Friday night in Whitefish, Montana??
The Great Northern Brewing Company–what d’ya know another brewery?!
“It’s about to get real purdy…”
A brilliant sunset over Glacier
Saint Mary River and Falls
We went on this trail to find the most incredible falls I have ever seen. This was deep into the Going-to-the-Sun Road and absolutely breathtaking to see. There was a chance we might run into a bear or two, and we forgot our bear spray–oops!–so that made it even more exciting.
Our search for Jewel Basin…pheww, what a climb!
Today we hiked this amazing strenuous hike for over four hours! It took us three of these hours just to climb up (just to give you and idea of the steepness)!! The higher up we got, the harder it was to locate the path of the trail, because the snow was getting denser and denser….
